The Artist
I’m Rebecca a visual artist working both locally and internationally, based in Melbourne, Australia. I create surreal depictions of liminal spaces—worlds that feel suspended in dreamlike dimensions. My work is influenced by styles like visionary psychedelia and pop surrealism, and explores themes drawn from biblical symbolism, personal experience, and moments of revelation.
I incorporate recycled plastic into many of my pieces, using it as a metaphor for the Holy Spirit—an invisible, transformative presence that moves through all things.
My background as a tattoo artist brings a strong attention to detail and intricacy to my paintings, blending precision with a sense of whimsy. I also create small clay sculptures, beaded elements and practice insect taxidermy as a way to connect more physically with the natural world. These hands-on processes allow me to explore themes of life, death, and preservation in a tangible way.
Through a mix of mediums and influences, my work aims to bridge the fleeting and the eternal—inviting viewers into a space where the spiritual and material worlds meet.
